I work from my studio overlooking Skerray Harbour.

The sea is constantly changing , but each area along the coastline retains a unique sense of place. Observing the movementof the water, layers of fleeting light and reflections from the landscape, my paintings are an attempt to capture these transient moments.

I prefer to work in oils when painting the sea, but also enjoy drawing, printmaking and mixed media. I’m often clambering about on the rocks with a bag of art materials, I feel the jagginess of the landscape suits a more immediate response!
